Well... today has been a bit funny/successfull NOT very much challenging day. Got this super duper great deal on photocopier machine - NOT. First I found out that the current contract we had was to be running for another 4 years. Big machine, not many people in the office anymore (credit crunch so called) so I thought we give it a go maybe there is a deal outthere that could save us some money. Ehh... of course there is no better one. All I got was 60 quid saving per quarter. damn. Anyways... 60 quid/quarter makes it 20 quid saving a month is not much is it?! On top of that we would have to swap from Canon to a smaller Konica Minolta.. oh my god they are having a laugh! Did you ever use that Minolta photocopier machine? Well I have used those in the past and decided that I will never use it again. End of. - Alex - the phone is not working. Hmmm I say. - Well because it cant find the signal. (it was one of those cordless landline phones) Where is the main base for it? Ohh we dont know we hardly ever use it. I looked around the office I couldnt really find anything that would look like a base for that phone. Half hour off my time spent on looking round the office to find the bloody phone base. Nothing. Didnt see the phone socket anywhere either. Weird stuff. So I had a happy cordless phone in my hand without the base that bloody thing could connect to. Asked the lady: - so have you ever used this phone? - oh yeah always. Often have guests and they use it too. Interesting I thought. She said - Shall we call the BT engineer to come and fix it? - Oh yeah. We need an engineer to come and find the base of the phone that has gone walkies. In fact he has to have a 'FIRST CLASS' degree to be able to trace it. I bet he would have a magic wound that finds lost phone bases. I just gave up and left. Mr photocopier salesman said that they never had a problem with Konica-Minolta. In fact they actually are their main distributor and they never heard of problems with those. Funny that is that in my previous place I worked for we had an engineer coming in everyday to fix the minolta photocopier. Hmm should I save 20 quid? Write Comment (11 comments) |

Thanks for popping onto my website...Im flattered to see you :) I always feel terrible copying people's ideas and stuff but hey ho - everyone got their own bit of internet nowadays - I cant do any different.
Suppose if you clicked here you either know me, or maybe you just googled here away by accident. Let me just briefly tell you who I am. My name is Alex, from Hurst Green, (little village somewhere in Surrey, near M25)... cant say any more as this internet melarchy is supposed to be anonymous.... I suppose if you need to know more about me - just email me or something... About this website maybe... I will try to put here whatever comes to my mind when I get bored. Is that okay? I just had this feeling the other day that I created myself all of that lovely bit of my own internet space and its just not being used at all... personally I hate any kind of "waste", so here you go... all my waste should be collected here on this web and I will do my best to make sure its kind of interesting waste, not much of a junk webs with naked ladies... (although I might consider putting some up if they interesting enough hehe) The idea of this web came up when I was fiddling with Mambo - I thought I give it a go and see how it works, how to configure it etc. Still have no clue of what this is and how to work it...anyways a bit complicated to my little brain... well at least it does the job and is working :) Happy Surfing
